It was all about numbers this year around the regions...

1: The number 1 draw wasn’t unlucky for Dalkeith & Monktonhall, Freckleton, Delph, Reg Vardy, Barton and Ferryhill – all who won from it this year.

5: The number of consecutive Championship titles won by Foden’s in the North West – 2006- 2010

6: The lowest number of bands in any section this year – in the Third Section in Wales and the Fourth Section in Scotland.

20: The number of regional titles now won by Dr Nicholas Childs, following his success with Reg Vardy in the North of England.

198: Number of points awarded to Co-operative FuneralCare in winning the Scottish Championship – the only region that still awards points.

1996: The last time a band (Sun Life) retained its West of England Championship Section Regional title.

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
