Cornet spotlight at Black Dyke Festival

Black Dyke cornet star Richard Marshall is putting the final touches to the 'Cornet Spotlight' which takes place as part of the Black Dyke Festival on Sunday 13th June.

The morning starts with registration at 9.00am before commencing at 9.30am with a masterclass hosted by Richard, which concentrates on all basic areas and how to improve them.

Legends

Following the masterclass Richard invites all the cornet players to meet two distinguished Black Dyke 'Legends'.

James Shepherd and Peter Roberts need no introduction and you will have the chance to ask them questions and hear their worldly advice.

Sight reading

To conclude the day a massed rehearsal will take place at 12pm. This is a chance to improve your sight reading and enjoy playing new repertoire.
