Disqualify

In a press release to 4BR the Council states: "The investigation into the alleged racial incident at our Festival of Brass event has now concluded and we have reached a decision to disqualify Hatfield Band from the 2012 competition and have requested all prizes be returned to us.

We have also requested that they provide explanations on what actions and measures they have taken to eradicate this type of behaviour before they are allowed to enter into the 2013 competition."

They added: "It is also important to note that we take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and do not support this type of behaviour and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment."
