Guild Hall closing date

The closing date for Brass at the Guild Hall is fast approaching...

Guild Hall

Lancashire Contests have given a New Year’s reminder to bands who are wishing to take part in the annual Brass at the Guild Hall competition.

Few places

The event to be held at Preston Guild Hall on February 3rd has attracted a very healthy line up of competitors, but there are still a few places up for grabs in each of the five sections.

Closing date

The closing date for entries is Saturday 12th January, and this year band’s can choose to play either their Regional set work or the forthcoming Butlins Mineworkers Championship test piece if they want to try and get a share of the £4,000 prize fund.

The Guild Hall offers two fantastic venues for the event, with the Grand Hall and Charter Theatre offering excellent facilities.

Entry and registration

The entry fee is £150 payable to Lancashire Contests, so if you haven’t yet entered, get in touch ASAP!

If your band is interested, please email info@lancashirecontests.com for more information or contact Frank Hodges on 01942 703217.

Simples

A spokesperson added: "Lancashire Contests have their own simple registration procedure that entails e-mailing a list of players at least two weeks prior to the date of the contest by email or post.

A form is provided for this purpose so there is no need to be concerned about the ongoing registration issues."
