The list of bands who will challenge for National honours in the autumn is now complete, following the last round of the 2013 Regional contests on the weekend.

15,000

Following three weekends that have seen around 15,000 musicians compete with bands from as far afield as Scotland down to the West Country, the full list of challengers is now known.

The full list of qualifiers for 2013 is as follows:

Bedford Town Band

September 22 • Bedford Town Band (London and SC) a friendly, ambitious and sociable 1st section band with a varied programme of concerts, events, and contests planned; currently have a vacancy for a B flat Bass player.


Chelmsford Silver Band

September 22 • Chelmsford Silver Band requires a Bb bass player and a Solo Cornet player. A non-contesting band, established for over 50 years and enjoy a good reputation performing at local and regional events plus organizing our own concerts.


West Yorkshire Police Band

September 22 • We require Basses both Eb and Bb to strengthen the section ready for the move to 2nd Section in 2018. Many prestigious engagements planned. Rehearsals are Monday and Thursdays just off Jct 41 M1 from 8pm.
