Salford announce Shakespeare inspiration for composer competition

The life and works of the Great Bard should hopefully inspire composers to write a winning entry for the prestigious University of Salford International Composing Competition.

400th anniversary

2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, arguably the greatest playwright and poet in English literature, and so composers are encouraged to seek inspiration from some aspect of this iconic figure; writing an original work which demonstrates innovation and creativity.
