Royal appointment for Baker

Brett Baker has taken on the role of professional conductor with Royal Buckley Town Band.

  Brett Baker will lead Royal Buckley Town Band as professional conductor in 2017.

Royal Buckley Town Band has announced the appointment of Black Dyke trombone star Brett Baker as their new Professional Conductor.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Brett has spent time working with the band as an advisor and over the past few months has established a good relationship with us. We are delighted that he is taking on a more permanent role at the helm.

Balance role

Brett will balance the role with his other commitments, and is looking forward to leading the North Walians in 2017.

He told 4BR: "I've really enjoyed working with the band and I can see the commitment and hard work from the players is really paying off as they continue to improve".
