The two heavyweights of Welsh banding have shown their support for the work of Ty Cerdd, the organisation charged with promoting and celebrating music making in Wales.

Lottery strands

Cory and Tredegar have renewed their membership of the Welsh music development agency that supports amateur and professional ensembles to promote and develop musical projects and activities throughout the country, and which delivers five strands of lottery funding for the Arts Council of Wales.

A spokesperson for both bands told 4BR: "We are fully supportive of Ty Cerdd's mission to promote and celebrate the music of Wales, and to engage and work with the brass band movement at all levels throughout the country."
