French Open looks for worldwide entrants

The organisers of the 2018 French Open Championships are looking for bands to enjoy competing in the beautiful Loire town in June 2018.

Amboise
  The beautiful town of Amboise hosts the French Open Championships.

The organisers of the 24th French Open Championship are inviting bands to enter the event to be held in the beautiful Loire Valley town of Amboise between the 1st & 3rd June 2018.

The draw and opening ceremony will be held on Friday 1st June at the Chateau Royal d'Amboise, whilst the contests take place on Saturday 2nd June at the Theatre Beaumarchais.

Gala Concert

The Gala Concert this year will feature Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band at the Salle Claude Menard, whilst the popular march events and outside performance opportunities take place at Place Michel Debre.

The closing date for entries is 25th March, whilst the test-pieces for each section are as follows:

July 21 • We are looking for PERCUSSIONISTS to join our ambitious,friendly and hard working 1st section band.Rehearsals are on Wednesdays in our own bandroom (no setting up and down). Good but realistic diary of concerts and contests including tour abroad in 2027.
