Following the recent news that the former Co-operative Funeralcare Band had secured funding from major retailers Scotmid Co-operative to become the cooperation band, the organisation has received a further major boost to their forthcoming Scottish Championship challenge in Perth by strengthening their ongoing association with Geneva Musical Instruments.

Thanks to the generosity of Geneva Instruments CEO Tim Oldroyd, the band has taken delivery of the next generation of Oldroyd Cardinal cornets and tenor horns as part of their renewed business partnership.

Huge boost

A spokesman for the cooperation band told 4BR: "This is another huge boost for us and shows that we have a profile that is attractive to major businesses.

We have worked exceptionally hard in recent months to ensure the future of Scotland's most famous and successful band — and that has been shown with these announcements."

We are delighted to renew our partnership with the band — one that we are sure will benefit us both starting in Perth in a couple of weeks timeGeneva Instruments

Delighted

In response a Geneva spokesperson added: "We are delighted to renew our partnership with the band — one that we are sure will benefit us both starting in Perth in a couple of weeks time.

The latest additions to the Oldroyd Cardinal range are exceptional instruments that have already created a major impression on the market place.

We felt this was an ideal way to promote them further with a band that shares our outlook of musical excellence."
