Test Valley Youth Band has been in demand.

It's summertime and the living is easy? Not if you're in Test Valley Brass it seems, as the ambitious and talented group of musicians, with a growing reputation, are very busy this summer.

French trip

Fresh from their trip to French twin town Redon, they recently entertained the shoppers and stallholders at Andover Farmers' Market, raising £190 towards new music and instruments.

Meanwhile, last Saturday they played at a garden party for sponsors Mitutoyo, whose European headquarters are in the town and next weekend they will perform at a local Village Fete.

Demand

Musical Director, Steve Large told 4BR: "A brass band is the perfect sound of summer for outdoor events and we are certainly in demand. We enjoy every concert but it was particularly special to play for our loyal sponsors Mitutoyo, who have given the band so much support."
