Frank Renton leads Brass Band Nord-Pas-de-Calais to victory in Paris.

The French National Brass Band Championhips were held held in Paris on 25th January, where Frank Renton led Brass Band Nord-Pas-de-Calais to victory.

Narrow half point

Their performances of the set work 'The Die is Cast' by Michael Forsyth and their own choice selection of 'Malcolm Arnold Variations' by Martin Ellerby gave the band a narrow half point victory over the pre contrest favourites Brass Band Aeolus.

As a result of their win Nord-Pas-de-Calais will represent France at the European Championships in Linz in 2010.
