Baker returns to roots

Euphonium player Paul Baker has returned to his Salvationist roots.

Enfield Citadel Band has announced the return of former bandsman Paul Baker as principal euphonium.

Re-joined

Paul, a former member of Enfield Citadel Band up until 1994 has returned back to Enfield Citadel Corps where he has attended since May and rejoined the band in September.

Paul has played as principal euphonium with Cory, GUS, and regularly guested with bands such as Brighouse & Rastrick and Black Dyke.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Enfield Citadel is delighted that Paul has decided to return back to his roots and use his talents within Enfield Citadel Band's unique ministry."

Additions

Other recent additions to the band include former Irish Guards bandsman Paul Williams (cornet) who has recently returned back to the UK and Chris Avison (cornet) who is studying trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music.
