The new Chief Executive Officer will be paid £50,000 a year

Brass Bands England has certainly lived up to the promise made by Chairman Mike Kilroy at the organisation's Annual General Meeting, to pay 'a leading salary for a charity of its size', with the announcement that it's seeking to appoint 'an outstanding and talented individual, with a proven track record and a passion for brass bands' to become its new Chief Executive.

£50,000

The post will attract a salary of around £50,000 — representing roughly a quarter of the total grant money paid to it by Arts Council England, for a leader who they believe has, '…the drive, energy and ability to work as part of a team, able to draw on the expertise of others and inspire, motivate and support staff.'

BBE is looking for candidates that have '…excellent operational experience, a good strategic sense and the ability to spot opportunities and capitalise on them'.

They should be able to, '…build strong relationships with the brass band sector, key stakeholders and strategic partners.'

Ambitious plans

BBE states that they have, '…ambitious plans for the future and seek a leader with integrity, energy and resilience who will work with the Board of Trustees to deliver our strategic objectives.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for the successful delivery of all operational outcomes, maintaining the focus on quality support provision and further developing the organisation'.

BBE is looking for candidates that have '…excellent operational experience, a good strategic sense and the ability to spot opportunities and capitalise on them4BR
