Thornton set to help Sellers Youth

Black Dyke's euph star to help new generation of Sellers performers.

Black Dyke's David Thornton, will be supporting the Sellers International Youth band at an open rehearsal this Friday.

Open to all

The event is open to all young brass players who want to come along, and David will perform as soloist with the band, talk about his experiences as one of the country’s top euphonium players and give advice on how to practice and prepare for a big performance.

No stranger

David is no stranger to the band – he is long standing friend of MD Mark Bousie, and helped them to prepare for their National Championships appearance this year.

Any young brass players who want to come are welcome and there will be a chance to sit in with the band or to join the audienceSellers Youth

The open rehearsal will run from 7pm to 9pm at the bandroom on Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. Refreshments will be provided – during this time there will be an excellent chance to talk to David, Mark and the band members informally.
