Sounds of Brass became the most listened to BBC Local Radio Programme in August through the BBC iPlayer 'Listen Again Service' — on the entire network of 40 BBC Local Radio Stations.

In reaching the Number 1 Sounds of Brass attracted the most listeners to a programme of any genre and musical style, recognition of the world wide popularity of brass band music.
