Friday 4th September saw the wedding of Gary Jones from the Langley Band to Jess Powell of Arrow Valley Band.

Bored meet up

Gary and Jess were introduced online via themouthpiece.com whilst bored one summer, but then met face to face after Jess moved to Coventry to study at University, and joined Kibworth.

No band

Jess originates from Cornwall, where she was for many years the principal cornet with St Dennis, whilst Gary has always remained in the Midlands, with Staffordshire, Sovereign and Langley.

The wedding was a ‘no band’ event, although many banding friends and family from all over the country were at the wedding, including Cliff Parker, the Langley MD as best man with Joanna Powell of Mount Charles and Rhiannon Jones of Arrow Valley as bridesmaids.
