Moore thanks to Dobcross

Peter Moore is set to say a very special thank you to the village of Dobcross

Moore

It is four years since trombone star Peter Moore came to the banding world’s attention when he was appointed solo trombone with Dobcross Silver Band – aged just 9 years old.

Thank you

Since becoming BBC Young Musician of the Year in May 2008, Peter has undertaken a host of engagements all over the world and next month he will say a personal 'thank you' by giving a concert in the village.

It will feature Peter with professional accompanist, Nick Oliver, performing favourites from his recital programmes, including the beautiful 'Sang til Lotta'.

I'm delighted to be performing again in the village of Dobcross and have planned a varied and interesting programme to say thanks for all the support I have received over the last few yearsPeter Moore

Delighted

Peter told 4BR: "I'm delighted to be performing again in the village of Dobcross and have planned a varied and interesting programme to say thanks for all the support I have received over the last few years."

Thrilled

Dobcross spokesperson Andy Black told 4BR: "We are thrilled that Peter will be performing for us. It promises to be an excellent evening and we look forward to welcoming many old and new friends."

Peter will also be accompanied in items by Dobcross Silver Band.
