Carlton Main welcome quartet

A new quartet of players have joined the ranks of Carlton Main in time for the Masters this weekend.

Carlton Main Frickley has announced the signing of four new players ahead of their All England Masters challenge this weekend.

Signings

As well as the recent signing of Carole Crompton joining on solo baritone, the band also welcomes David Belshaw, Rob Browne and Jonny Cowens.

The experienced David Belshaw joins on euphonium, whilst Rob Browne joins the band from Hatfield Powerfuel on Eb bass and Jonny Cowens on Bb.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The two young tuba players will have the experience of working with Ray Sykes MBE next to them who will be the perfect mentor for our young bass section. The average age of the other three bass players is only 19 years of age! We are looking forward to exciting times ahead with the addition of this blend of youth and experience."

Harlow Brass Band

November 4 • We have vacancies for CORNETS, TROMBONES, 2ND HORN AND PERCUSSION. We are a welcoming, non contesting band who organising their own Spring and Christmas concerts and enjoy playing at local events throughout the year.

November 4 • Banks Brass Band, a friendly, non-contesting village band in West Lancashire is looking for players, particularly euphoniums, trombones and basses. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings 8.00-9.30pm in The Hub@Banks Community Centre.
