Scots boost for Harrogate

Irvine & Dreghorn will hope to build on their recent contesting success ahead of their Harrogate appearance.

Scottish Third Section National finalists, Irvine & Dreghorn, enjoyed a huge boost to their confidence ahead of their forthcoming trip south to Harrogate when they competed at the recent Land O' Burns Contest in Troon.

The band retained their 'Best 3rd Section Prize' for the second year running, whilst their solo horn player Jennifer Crockett also retained her individual trophy for her beautiful performance of 'The Lark In The Clear Air'.

Open rehearsal

The band will be holding an open rehearsal on Wednesday 15th September at Irvine Royal Academy, Assembly Hall, 7.15-9.15pm, ahead of their Harrogate assault.

Everyone is welcome to come and hear how the band is progressing with the Third Section test piece 'Willow Pattern'.
