There is a an early reminder that the fifth Morley March & Hymn Tune Contest will take place later this year on Sunday 19th June, with a provisional start time of 1.30pm.
Same format
The format of the contest remains the same as in previous years and comprises a traditional road march along the pedestrian area of Queen Street of the town, followed by three verses of a hymn tune and a contest march in the band arena at the side of the Town Hall. All music is own choice.
The total prize fund is now £1600 and contains a first prize of £500 for the overall winner.
