Paris and Disneyland – a magical tour destination

As one of our most popular tour destinations for performance groups, Paris is perfect for those wanting a new cultural experience that is only a short journey from home.

Performance venues

With so many spectacular venues to play in and things to do, Emma Hardy from Rayburn Tours told 4BR all about how a Paris tour operates and how groups get to perform at Disneyland Paris.

"There is a huge range of performance venues and a great variety of excursions available in Paris, meaning that there’s never a dull moment!

"For secular groups you can’t beat the Disney magic — alternatively there are some lovely parks and gardens in the centre of Paris where groups can perform on bandstands and many residential areas where groups can perform to local residents.

"A concert at the Eiffel Tower creates an impressive backdrop! For sacred groups, La Madeleine Church is a stunning venue and its fantastic acoustics help deliver a real spine tingling performance!"

Places to go

There are plenty of places to go she added: "The best way to see all the main sights of the city is by taking a boat trip along the River Seine and you can’t visit Paris and not visit the Eiffel Tower.

"For youth groups looking for a different kind of French adventure to Disney, I would also recommend Park Asterix, a theme park based on the Asterix stories — we can arrange for groups to perform here too."

Paris is fast becoming our most popular band tour destination and due to its proximity to the UK, it’s perfect for groups of all ages and numbersRayburn Tours

Disney Magic Music Day

The Disney Magic Music Day offers groups the opportunity to perform in a fun and professional setting, while also discovering the ‘Disney magic’ in the theme parks, as Emma explained.

"Groups audition by submitting an application form and a CD or DVD recording of the group.

"On the day of the performance the group is met by their very own Magic Music Days co-ordinator, who will take them backstage at Disney Studios and help deliver their performance on one of Disney’s professional stages – one which was previously used for performances of The Lion King!

"The day is extra special as they have the help of professional lighting and sound technicians and groups get to perform their concert to other visitors in the Park. They get a real professional performing experience with support from the Magic Music Days team!"

Best Paris tour moment

It seems there is something magical about the experience as Emma went on: "Recently on tour with a group they did a joint concert with the choir from their twin town in Germany at La Madeleine.

"The concert was definitely the performance highlight of the tour and then the day was topped off with a boat trip on the River Seine and dinner under the Eiffel Tower! Just perfect!"
