The Prairie Brass Band of Arlington Heights, IL has announced that this year’s recipient of the Brass Person of the Year award (PBOY) is the band’s principal tenor horn player, Mary Gingrich.
The PBOY award is a service award given to that member of the band who has best displayed the exemplary characteristics of attitude, dedication, attendance and musicianship.
The delighted recipient has informed the band that the award plaque is now hanging right next to her husband’s Grammy Award.
