New and old return to Penicuik

There have been some new and old faces making their way to Penicuik.

Penicuik

Penicuik Silver Band has announced a number of new and old signings.

Return

Returning after a spell away to complete their degrees are Linda and Katharine Forrest on percussion and baritone respectively. Both players returned to the contesting fold at the recent Fife Charities Contest.

Great to see

MD Stuart Black told 4BR: "It’s great to see the girls back. Both are very enthusiastic and great to work with. We are all hoping they get local jobs and stay as long as possible!"

We now have something extra to build on as we look forward to the Borders contest at the start of next month and the Scottish championships in March next yearMD, Stuart Black

New signings

Meanwhile, Sarah Hamilton, Sean Kelly and Michael O'Brien are new signings.

Stuart added: "It’s also great news to welcome these new players. Sarah and I went to school together so I know how good a musician she is and Michael and Sean have been great since they came in.

We now have something extra to build on as we look forward to the Borders contest at the start of next month and the Scottish championships in March next year."
