The globe trotting Steven Mead will be making one last long haul flight this year, with his final visit of a hectic 2011 to Caracas in Venuzuela.

Home to the incredible 'Il Sistema' music project Steven will hold a number of masterclasses and a public concert , accompanied by one of the country’s leading brass groups, the Venezuelan Trombone Ensemble.

The visit gives Steve the opportunity to work with the musicians that made such a huge impact during their visit top Manchester and London at the beginning of the year.

Steve told 4BR: "It's a real honour to be able to work with them, and a fantastic way to finish off the year. The concert with the trombone ensemble, and some pieces with piano accompaniment, is something I'm very much looking forward to, and will contain works differing styles.

I will be keeping a video diary, so people will be able to share the experiences of my visit."

Steve leaves on 13th December and returns just in time for Christmas on the 22nd.
