2012 NABBA Championship

The list of competing bands has been announced for the North American Championships in Ohio in March.

The list of 21 competing bands taking part in the 30th anniversary North American Brass Band Association Championships — NABBA XXX — in Cincinnati, Ohio on the weekend of March 30th/31st have been announced.

Vindication

NABBA President, Dr. Stephen Allen, told 4BR: "This is a tremendous vindication of the vibrancy and growth of the brass band scene in this country over the past 30 years. I am very proud of the dedication and commitment of these wonderful brass bands who spend many hours and dollars travelling to this singular event in this vast country."

Pride

He added: "My heart swells with pride and vision for what will be accomplished in the next 30 years and beyond. I certainly hope that as many people as possible will be able to make it out for what will undoubtedly be an historic weekend."

March 23 • Our COMMUNITY BAND are meeting again on Monday (30th) at 11am and we welcome players of all abilities to join us in a friendly relaxed rehearsal.. It does not affect your main band and is all free including the cake and coffee.

March 23 • Wantage Band (Champ Section) have a SECOND CORNET seat vacant from May. The band placed 3rd at the L&SC Area and look forward to the Grand Shield in a few weeks. Then Wallace & Gromit, concerts in Stroud and Marlborough and Market Place Brass - exciting!
