The Enfield Citadel Band has reported the death of Lt Col Lincoln Parkhouse, the band's Executive Officer, who passed away on Friday 16th March following a short illness.

Lincoln became involved with the band when he retired in 1995 following more than 30 years service as a Salvation Army officer throughout England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "He became the Band's Executive Officer in 1996, providing valuable spiritual support, compering the band's concerts and leading Sunday meetings.

His enthusiasm, vitality and Christian sincerity have influenced countless people throughout his service. He will be greatly missed by the band, the Corps, his family and the wider community."
