Conway departs Wardle

After eight highly successful years at the helm, Sean Conway makes his departure from Wardle Anderson Brass.

After eight highly successful years, Sean Conway has announced his resignation as MD of Wardle Anderson Brass.

Remarkable

Sean told 4BR: "It’s been a remarkable musical journey and I would like to thank all the players past and present for sharing what has been for me a most memorable experience. I also sincerely want to thank the bands secretary Kath Day and President Councillor Ashley Dearnley for their loyal support during my time with the band.

I wish the band all the very best for the future and I hope Cheltenham brings them even more success!"

Thanks

Councillor Ashley Dearnley responded by saying: "The decision has been met with great sadness by all involved with the band. I should like to place on record my personal thanks for all he has done for the band, the local community and countless charities since taking up the position back in 2004.

Strength to strength

They added: "Professionally the band has gone from strength to strength. This would not have been achieved without the leadership from Sean who has encouraged, supported and worked tirelessly on behalf of all members to make what only a few years ago would have been a dream now within our grasp.

It is not just the immediate area of Wardle that has benefited from his leadership, but countless people throughout the borough have valued all that the band has achieved."
