Durham looking for entries

The Durham County Brass Band Association is looking for entries for its forthcoming Solo, Duet & Quartet Contest.

Quartets
 

The annual Durham County Brass Band Association CBBA Solo, Duet & Quartet contest is to take place on 14th October at Blackhall Colliery Community Centre.

Kick off

The day will kick off at 10.00am with age limits by birth date on the day of the competition applying for each of the classes.

Organisers have informed 4BR that only competitors over the age of 15 must be registered to a band that is a member of the DCBBA.

Classes:

Class 1:
Junior Solos up to and including 11 years Slow Melody

Class 2:
Junior Solos 12 years & over up to and including 14 years Slow Melody

Class 3:
Junior Solos 15 years & over up to and including 17 years Slow Melody

Class 4:
Junior Duet up to and including 17 years Own choice

Class 5:
Junior Quartet up to and including 17 years Own choice

Class 6:
Open Solo 16 years and over Own choice

Class 7:
Open Duet 16 years and over Own choice

Class 8:
Open Quartet 16 years and over Own choice

Class 9:
Veteran Solos 50 years and over Own choice

May 11 • We are looking for PERCUSSIONISTS to join us as we head into an exciting period for the band.Good and varied diary ahead.. We rehearse on Wednesdays in our own bandroom (so none of that tedious setting up and down)
