Old Silkstone Contest cancelled

The proposed Old Silkstone March & Hymn Contest has been cancelled.

The Old Silkstone Band has announced the cancellation of its March & Hymn Contest, which was to have taken place on Staurday 8th September.

Disappointed

Band Chairman Dave O’Connor told 4BR: "We are disappointed to announce the cancellation of the rescheduled March & Hymn Contest on Saturday 8th September, due to the unavailability of the venue.

The committee would like to thank all the bands who had entered the contest for their support and interest and apologise for any inconvenience caused, and are considering the future for this event and will make an announcement in due course."
