Ireland set to play in purple

Ireland set to take to the stage with a quartet dressed in their brand new colours at Cheltenham and Bolsover.

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band has announced that they have welcomed a quartet of new players to their ranks ahead of their appearances at the Cheltenham National Finals and Bolsover Entertainments contest, where they will be defending their Fourth Section title for a third year.

Quartet

David Heiland joins on solo cornet from Barnsley Chronicle, with Karen Wright coming in on repiano from Rockingham Brass. Gill Quick returns on Bb Bass from the non-contesting Holymoorside Band, whilst 11 year old Kelsey Squires joins her Dad, Mum, two brothers and Uncle who already play with the band. Kelsey will be also part of the new ICCB Training Band which starts up in September.

New uniforms

In a further development, the band has announced that they are to now perform in brand new purple uniforms to fall in line with their current sponsor conceptunet ltd.
