Geneva sponsors RAH Final

Kapitol Promotions announce Geneva sponsorship deal for Albert Hall Final.

Following it’s move to sponsor the recent National Finals in Cheltenham, 4BR has been informed that Geneva Instruments will also sponsor the Championship Section Final at the Royal Albert Hall on 20th October.

Delighted

Speaking about the news, Philip Morris of Kapitol Promotions Ltd., told 4BR: "We’re delighted that Geneva, a developing British company, has offered to sponsor the Championship Section Final for a second time. Geneva is developing a full range of background brass band instruments and is striving hard to support the British brass band movement."

Enthused

Tim Oldroyd, who founded the Company and designs Geneva’s instruments, enthused: "The top section Final represents the highest point of brass banding in the UK and, arguably, in the world, so it’s an honour to be involved.

I see it as important to put something back into a movement that has given me much joy and pleasure over the years, so Geneva hopes that its association with the National becomes the bedrock of its successful development and continues for the foreseeable future."

World class

He added: "Geneva has recently restructured and re-launched with a new Managing Director in Craig Buchan who brings financial expertise to our high quality stable of instruments, which have rapidly attained world-class status.

Geneva is a Great British Company now sponsoring a Great British Championship for a Great British movement – the ‘National’ is a perfect fit for us."

Armagh

Tim also revealed that the commitment to banding will see Geneva at the NIBBA Contest this weekend held in the Market Place Theatre, Armagh.

He concluded: "Come and look at the new 2012 range of Geneva Instruments and put them to the test — both at Armagh and the Albert Hall."
