Thurcroft pick up Hallas

Garry Hallas has added Thurcroft Welfare to his current conducting CV.

Thurcroft Welfare Band has announced the appointment of Garry Hallas as their new Musical Director.

Impressed

A spokesperson Kim Smith told 4BR: "Garry has worked with the band as temporary MD for the past couple of months and his talent, energy and enthusiasm has impressed and inspired us. Garry was selected from an excellent and experienced panel of applicants."

Kim added: "We are delighted that Garry will be taking the band forward and we look forward to working with him as he prepares us for a busy programme of contests and concerts."

Emley lead

Garry will remain at the helm at Emley Brass who recently claimed second place at the Pogson Bray entertainment contest.
