Dr Roy to be remembered at Elland Contest

The memory of the great Dr Roy Newsome will be remembered at the forthcoming Elland Solo & Duet Contest with the presentation of a new trophy.

Elland Silver Band's 24th Annual Slow Melody & Quartet contest will take place on Sunday 5th May.

Sections

There are 5 slow melody sections, Junior & Senior Quartets, Junior Duets and a new section for Senior Duets.

New award

This year a new award entitled, The Roy Newsome Memorial Trophy will be presented to the winners of the Junior Duets.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
