There was a wedding with a difference to celebrate with the Fairey Band recently, as bass trombonist Dr John Paul Warder married his long time sweetheart Rachel on 12th April – dressed as Hagrid from the Harry Potter films.

Fairey Band spokesperson and ‘Best Man’, Gaz Parker, told 4BR: “Everyone involved with the Fairey Band would like to congratulate the happy couple and wish them all the best for the future.
It was a lovely ceremony; Rachel looked stunning in white, while John Paul surprised everyone dressing up as Hagrid — his favourite character from Harry Potter."
