Elland opens doors to attract new generation

The award winning Elland Silver Youth Band is on the outlook for a new generation of young players.

Elland Silver Youth Band is to hold an open rehearsal on Saturday 18th May from 10.00am to 12 noon at their bandroom in Dewsbury Road, Elland.

The band hopes to attract yet another batch of potential young brass and percussion players in the area who would like a chance to play with them.

MD, Sam Harrison told 4BR: "Here at Elland we have an interest in developing our young players from beginners to advanced level musicians.

We don’t audition our players; instead we listen, coach and encourage them to achieve the high standards set by the band."
