Cafe culture set to attract new players at Lofthouse

Lofthouse Brass is to launch a Music Cafe in a bid to atract new young players to the ranks.

Lofthouse Brass is to launch their Music Café at Outwood WMC, Ledger Lane, Wakefield on Saturday 15th June.

Starting at 10.00am, everyone is welcome to come down and learn more about brass and even pick up an instrument.

Band Chairman, John Empsall told 4BR: "We have a beginner/learner group that rehearse every Saturday morning along with a B Band that practice on a Thursday evening.

The senior band rehearses Thursdays evening, and Saturday mornings. Our current age range is eight to seventy something, but we are not tied to this!"
