Stan Lippeatt has told 4BR of his delight at returning to full membership of the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators.

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators has announced that their former Chairman Stan Lippeatt will return to full membership of the organisation with immediate effect.

Statement:

Their statement reads:

"Following a thorough review by the Executive Committee of ABBA, it is now considered appropriate to restore Stan Lippeatt's membership of ABBA from 4th August 2013.

Stan Lippeatt has been a member of the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (ABBA) since 1999.

During the Bolsover Entertainment Contest during Autumn 2012, an unfortunate situation resulted in Stan’s immediate suspension from ABBA.

Subsequently, Stan has been offered Diversity & Equality training as part of ABBA's restorative practice guidelines.

It is pleasing to note that Stan has participated and satisfactorily completed a Certificate of Attendance on the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust Course.”

"I’m delighted to be welcomed back and to be able to make a positive contribution to ABBA, brass band adjudicating and the banding movement.

I undertook an excellent course with the Sheffield Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust and now look forward to being actively involved in adjudicating once more."
