Advert: Foden's set for Gawsworth return

Double champions set for a return appearance at Gawsworth Hall near Macclesfield — with 100 free tickets up for grabs!

Foden’s will returning to the picturesque setting of Gawsworth Hall near Macclesfield on Sunday 18th August to once again perform in an eagerly anticipated concert.

Outstanding

Starting at 7.30pm it will be the second successive year the band has appeared, following their outstanding performance last year.

Free tickets

Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "Foden's is very proud of our various youth initiatives and as a result we are pleased to announce that we have 100 tickets that we are making available free of charge to children aged 6 to 17 to come along and hear us in concert."

Mark told 4BR that the Double Champions will provide their usual programme of music to suit all tastes, although they will also be taking the opportunity to feature special guest soloist Lizzy Tongue and Hal Walker who are the current Principal Cornet and Solo Euphonium with the Foden's Youth Band.

August 22 • Wantage Community Brass (non-competitive) are looking to recruit a new Musical Director. The group is unique in that the average age is almost certainly around 70! They rehearse on Tue from 4pm and Thu from 7pm (both times flexible depending on person).
