Line and on-line changes at Kibworth

Kibworth says goodbye to twin student talent.

Kibworth

Kibworth Band has said goodbye to two of their members who are off to pastures new having completed their educational studies.

London bound

Principal euphonium Rosie Saxton played with the band for around 18 months whilst studying in her final two years at Birmingham Conservatoire. Rosie enjoyed successful exam results and has now moved to London to pursue a new career.

Army

Meanwhile, assistant principal cornet, Rob Tolhurst has been accepted into the military and begins his training at Pirbright Army Barracks in Surrey in September.

Sorry

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Kibworth is sorry to lose both Rosie and Rob, but would like to thank them both for their hard work with the band over recent times and wish them both the very best in their future careers."

The band has recently given their website a facelift and now has a colourful and informative site to attract visitors. It contains information about the band, its history and busy schedule of events.

Many changes

The spokesperson added: "This is one of many changes that have taken place within the band and its structure over recent months, and we are now looking to move forwards with enthusiasm into the future, including appearing at the Wychavon Entertainment Contest later this month."
