Skipton needs votes to gain extra brass

Skipton Brass is looking for a little bit of help to gain a bit of extra interest from the Building Society that bears their name...

Skipton Brass

The Skipton Building Society is 160 years old this year, and to celebrate they are giving away £500 to 160 community organisations throughout the UK.

Short list

Appropriately enough, Skipton Brass is very excited that they are amongst the 300+ organisations that have been shortlisted for one of these donations for an award in the Skipton Building Society Grassroots Giving competition – and the brass band nominated.

Growing

Band Sponsorship Secretary Bryan Lowes told 4BR: "We want to share our musical talents with the community and we are happy that our membership is growing and it is fantastic that we have younger members within the community who are taking an interest."

This is especially important as our new development band Gateway Brass continues to grow, which is central to securing the future of Skipton BrassSkipton Brass

Vote

To carry on their good work, the band therefore need votes – so if you can go to: http://www.skiptonbig160.co.uk/apply-forfunding/whos-applying/central/skipton-brass/ and give them a helping hand.

Voting closes on 19th September.

Bryan added: "This is especially important as our new development band Gateway Brass continues to grow, which is central to securing the future of Skipton Brass."
