Staines Brass recently held a celebration concert with a difference at their local St Peter’s Church on the banks of the River Thames.

Fond farewell

The ‘Proms’ event also saw the band bid a fond farewell to MD Melvin White and his wife Susan, as well a welcome their new MD to the rostrum in Jonathan Pippen.

The audience were treated to a varied programme which included two trombone solos superbly played by Susan.

The band made a presentation to the White family at the end of the evening as a token of their gratitude for the hard work and dedicated commitment they have given over the past six years4BR
