The Leicestershire Brass Band Association has reminded bands that the closing date for entries to their 2013 LBBA Open competition is Saturday 28th September.

Secretary Lesley Bentley told 4BR: "We would like to encourage secretaries to get their entries in as early as possible.

Six sections are available, from Championship to Unregistered and this year’s team of adjudicators include Pater Bassano, Paul Norley, Ian Brownbill and Nicholas Garman."

Time and place

The contest will take place on Sunday 24th November, at Charnwood College, Loughborough in Leicestershire, with two halls accommodating the six sections, with additional trade stands hall, refreshments available and plenty of room for bands to bring a coach!
