Lieutenant Colonel Graham Jones will be celebrating the festive season with appropriate music provided by some of the world’s finest military bands.

Special programme

In a special Christmas programme on Classic FM, he will highlight performances from the likes of the Band of the Grenadier Guards to the US Army Field Band, via the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and the Band of the Royal Signals.

Exploring

Lt Col Jones told 4BR: "I will be exploring some of the finest Christmas recordings, and telling the stories behind some of these outstanding ensembles."

A former Director of Music of the Coldstream Guards, Lieutenant Colonel Graham Jones retired in November 2011 after a glittering career spanning almost 40 years of service.

Bilton Silver Rugby Band
