The A.W. Parker (Drybrook) Band has announced a brace of new signings leading into the 2014 contesting season.

Welcome

Nigel Galliot joins on Eb tuba following successful spells with Lydbrook and more recently, Cheltenham Silver, whilst his wife Debbie joins on 1st horn.

Internal moves see Eb bass player David Harding moving to share the 2nd horn seat with his wife Lesley, whilst former 1st horn player Leanna Bollen has made the transition to 2nd baritone in a position she will share with Doug Sumner.

Former Tredegar principal cornet player Steve Ruck comes in on flugel horn with Carol Kear moving onto the front row cornet bench.

It’s a very exciting time to leading AW Parker (Drybrook) and I’m personally really looking forward to 2014 and beyondMD, Joshua Ruck

Delighted

Musical Director, Joshua Ruck told 4BR: "I’m delighted to welcome Nigel and Debbie to the band. They have settled in very quickly as have all the other players who have embraced their new roles.

I would also like to thank all the members who have made moves to accommodate the personnel changes and for their dedication and continued commitment to the band."

He added: "It’s a very exciting time to leading AW Parker (Drybrook) and I’m personally really looking forward to 2014 and beyond."
