Giel force winds at Willebroek

Brass Band Willebroek announce the appointment of Kevin Van Giel as their new solo euphonium.

Reigning Belgium National Champion Brass Band Willebroek has announced that Kevin Van Giel has been appointed as their new Principal Euphonium.

Taken over

He has taken over the role previously held by Stef Pillaert and Nick Ost, who will stay involved with the band.

Kevin learnt to play with the Young Brass Band Willebroek Band before enjoying spells with Brass Band Buizingen and latterly as principal euphonium with Festival Brass Band.

Pro

A professional musician, Kevin joined the Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force in 2011 and has a Master of Science degree in Industrial Sciences.

He as also gained a Master's degree for euphonium after studying wih Nick Ost at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, where he still studies Hafabra conducting with Ivan Meylemans and Jan Van der Roost.
