Bousfield unlocks the trombone code

A new series of coaching videos from one of the world's finest trombone players is set to capture the imagination...

Ian Bousfield

International trombone soloist Ian Bousfield is launching an exclusive series of coaching videos in partnership with specialist brass and woodwind publisher Warwick Music.

Unlocking the Trombone Code

Warwick Music is part of the award winning group WM, the makers of the ground breaking plastic pBone trombone and recently unveiled pTrumpet.

Following the successful launch of Ian’s range of trombone mouthpieces, the partnership has now launched a new series of coaching videos: ‘Unlocking the Trombone Code’, which will be available on a new ‘pay per view’ scheme via online video site Vimeo.

Aim

The videos are aimed at keen amateurs and students, showcasing specific techniques and tricks of the trade, as Ian explained: "Music is a craft and I want to share my years of study, research, even head-scratching moments. These coaching videos are the perfect way to do that, as they form the outlines of how I do what I do as a trombonist."

Passion

Matt Pope, sales and marketing director of Warwick Music added: "We are privileged to be working with Ian on this. His passion to instil the skills to perform is of such a huge benefit to those learning to play the trombone."

Pay per view and subscription models for digital content are quite a new innovation in the music industry and follow the success of other industries adopting the model elsewhere.

Partnership

As well as these new Ian Bousfield videos, the partnership also launched Ian Bousfield Mouthpieces in 2013 which have been well received by professional trombonists around the world.
