Elland set for contest day

If you want to enjoy some great music making then get along to the 25th anniversary Elland Silver jubilee solo, duet and ensemble event.

There is a great opportunity to get along and enjoy some fine slow melody, quartet and duet playing on the weekend, as the Elland Silver Band holds its Silver Jubilee event.

Longest running

The popular contest, which is believed to be one of the longest running events of its kind in the UK, takes place on Sunday 11th May, and will be adjudicated by John Doyle.

Champion of Champions

There are five Slow Melody Sections and to celebrate the 25th anniversary, there will also be a special Champion of Champions event to go along with the Senior and Junior Quartets and Senior and Junior Duets.
