Besses Boys make Germans even more Happy...

Not that they need much more to be smiling about after the World Cup, but Besses Boys certainly made their German hosts even more Happy...

rHINELAND

Besses Boys Band has just returned home following a fantastic tour to the Rhineland region of Germany.

Praise

Under the direction of MD James Holt, concerts were held in Boppard, Bad Munster and Cochem, where audiences heaped praise on them following their fantastic performances.

Repertoire included ‘When Thunder Calls’, ‘Selection from Wicked’ and ‘Nightingale Dances’, whilst the stable of impressive soloists also shone. The band ended each show with their current favourite piece — ‘Happy’.

Highlight

The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly in Bad Munster, where the hall was overflowing and side doors were opened to allow audience members to sit in the surrounding gardens and enjoy a fantastic concert.

Warm support

MD James Holt told 4BR: "The band performed superbly and were really taken aback by the warm support from the people of Germany.

It’s been a while since the band has had the opportunity to go on tour, but following the huge success of this one we’ve come back and planning is already underway for a tour to Cornwall next year before another European trip, hopefully to Italy, in 2016."
