Report & Results: 2014 New South Wales State Championship

There was plenty of fine playing on show in New South Wales as St Mary's District Band claims NSW State Championship title.

With northern hemisphere banding supporters all set to look forward to the contesting action at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on the weekend, there has been plenty of good playing to enjoy thousands of miles away in Australia, where there was a fine turn out at the recent NSW State Championships held at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith.

High class

There was plenty of high class playing on show for both the audience and the judges to enjoy with the hymn tune, set work and own choice selections of the competitors, with St Mary’s District Band directed by Ben Crocker taking the overall A Grade title.
